The automatic wool deburring line has been designed for the complete separation of fibre from vegetable impurities through a totally mechanical process (wool deburring). This technology is ideal for both those who process and market wool fibre (fibre chemical carbonization process and/or fibre preparation for spinning process), and for those who manufacture high-quality wool yarns and sweaters/fabrics.

The main advantages are:

  1. Perfect elimination of dust and vegetable impurities, along with skin pieces in the event that tanning wool is being processed.
  2. No damage to or shortening of the fibres being processed and hence no drop in the quality of the fibres themselves.
  3. Increase in productivity of the following carding and spinning processes with significant raw material cost decreasing.
  4. No environmental impact and considerable risk reduction for operator’s health and safety.

Bale opener

The fibre, fed in compressed bales, is opened through a vigorous mechanical action, so as to prepare it in an optimal manner to the following process stages.

Wool deburring machine

The wool deburring action completely eliminates existing impurities (mineral and vegetal ones) without damaging or shortening the fibre. In this way, the morphological features and the quality of the fibres under process are fully preserved.

Step cleaner

The step cleaner completes fibre cleaning from residual mineral impurities thanks to a deep dust removing action due to a strong mechanical fibre-shaking process.

Centralised dust and waste collection system

All waste material can be evacuated thanks to a centralised suction system and is gathered into duly provided filtering bags. This material can be reprocessed up to a point where existing fibres are completely recovered.

WOOL DEBURRING LINE - ITALY

Wool deburring line being installed in a chemical carbonization factory as alternative solution to traditional chemical processes for high-quality fibre treatment. This line mainly processes high quality and very fine Australian wool designed for production in the finest-quality weaving and knitwear fields on the Italian market. In part, also coarser Italian wool fibres are processed, which are intended for mattress production.

WOOL DEBURRING LINE - RUSSIA

Automatic wool deburring line being installed in a woollen/worsted yarn manufacturing company for weaving sector. This line allows substantial production cost cutting, as it enables the recovery of fibres rejected during combing and carding operations by the concerned machines. Furthermore, cost cutting is guaranteed by the possibility of purchasing raw materials with a high percentage of impurities content, hence having a lower commercial value.

WOOL DEBURRING SECTION - ITALY

Wool deburring section installed in a wool tops production line for the manufacturing of fur imitation and pile fabrics. This wool deburring machine has been installed in-between the opening and blending section and the series of wool tops production cards of an existing line, to allow processing tanning merino wool. As it is known, tanning wool has a lower price on the market compared with virgin wool and it could not be used due to the large content of skin pieces. This installation has therefore been resulting an OPTIMAL SOLUTION TO THE REDUCTION OF THE COST OF FINAL PRODUCTS without decreasing their quality.
