The movable/displacing bin emptier has been designed for the vertical extraction of the fibres, previously laid down horizontally inside the blending bins. Thanks to this operation, the fibres in the process are perfectly blended. At the end of each emptying cycle, the bin emptier displaces to another bin and the fibre emptying cycle starts again. A vertical spiked belt conveyor provided with conical pins picks up the fibres from inside the bin. The movement of the bin emptier while in working phase inside the bin is intermittent to allow fibre easier picking up. The material is transferred to the pneumatic system by means of a telescopic pipe or by using the same fibre feeding duct for bin filling.

The material is evenly distributed in horizontal layers inside the bin (01), by means of a dedicated feeding device (02). Once all the blend components have been fed, the bin emptier (03) is activated. The bin emptier moves in along its tracks, enters the box and picks up the stratified fibre layers vertically by means of the spiked inclined belt conveyor (04). The picked-up fibres are transferred to the following process stages by a delivery suction system (05). This process can be repeated several times (multiple recycling) if tandem blending bins are placed next to each other, to maximise the blending degree of the fibres being processed.

The machine consists of a fibre blending bin and a stationary bin emptier that picks up the fibre layers being carried toward it by an intermittent motion horizontal belt conveyor. A constant pressure value, obtained by means of a moving wall (optional) on the bottom of the bin, guarantees steady fibres pick-up. Filling by means of fixed or telescopic cyclones or movable mouthpiece. This solution is highly recommended when high production volumes are required and no storage bins are located upstream the carding phase. The material picked up from the automatic blending bin is directly fed to the carding set.
